I can’t believe it! Thanks to you, all my supporters, I have been voted through to the next round of the People Choice Women’s Business School Awards in both the Making A Difference Award – Not for Profit and Leadership Award.
Votes have now been reset to zero we now have to start the voting again and every vote counts, with the winners, announced at the award night in September!!
It would mean so much to me to win this award, so I can continue raising awareness of dyslexia.
Our story at the Foundation started in 2015 when I shared my story with the world and disrupted the norm about what people think and understand about dyslexia, giving young people and adults with dyslexia a voice for the first time in Australia.
Through the Foundation, young people and adults now have a platform to share their lived experience of dyslexia and other learning disabilities that enables us to change the way communities see those with dyslexia. No longer will those with dyslexia and other learning disabilities be called lazy, feel inadequate or hopeless. Through storytelling, we are creating a world of acceptance and empathy that empowers those with dyslexia and other learning disabilities to reach their full potential allowing them to live healthier, happier more connected lives. We all deserve to be happy!
I’ve been nominated for two categories for my work at the Foundation. Voting only takes 2 minutes:
- Making a Difference Award (Non-profit) – number 9 Shae Wissell Dear Dyslexic Foundation
- Leadership Award – number 10 Shae Wissell Dear Dyslexic Foundation
So please vote, so we can continue changing the world through storytelling!
